Manchester City: Enzo Maresca officially signs

After weeks of behind-the-scenes negotiations, Enzo Maresca has officially taken over from Pep Guardiola on the Manchester City bench.

The Italian tactician was officially appointed on Monday as the new head coach of the Citizens, signing a contract that runs until June 2029. The Sky Blues will pay €20 million to his former club, Chelsea, to secure the services of the Italian manager.

"Manchester City is a club I know very well, and having the chance to coach this team is a fantastic opportunity for me. City is an incredibly well-run football club. Everything they do is innovative, planned, and purposeful. For a coach, it’s a dream scenario. It gives me the stability I need to do my job effectively," Maresca said in a statement.
