Manchester City: Erling Haaland calls for unity
Last week, Manchester City were found guilty of numerous breaches of the Premier League’s financial rules. Since then, statements have been multiplying. After remaining silent for a few days, Erling Haaland has broken his silence.
Manchester City are going through a difficult period. While the English club has appealed the verdict and is awaiting details of any potential sanctions, Erling Haaland has sent a message of solidarity to the Citizens’ supporters.

Speaking to Sky Sports ahead of Sunday’s trip to Liverpool, the Norwegian striker called for everyone to remain united despite the turbulence. "We need to stay together. We need to support each other and stay positive. No matter what happens in life, we always need to keep smiling. We need to look forward, try to win games and enjoy the situation. (...) We need to stay together, show each other love, enjoy the journey and smile," insisted the Scandinavian, without directly addressing the accusations against his club. "I care a lot about City and its supporters because I am a supporter myself. I feel the same way they do," he said.
