Manchester City: John Stones ready to leave on a free?

With his contract at Manchester City coming to an end, John Stones could leave the English club as a free agent at the end of the season.

Having joined the Citizens in 2016 from Everton, the 31-year-old central defender has played 290 official matches, scoring 19 goals and providing 9 assists. Frequently hampered by injuries, Stones has featured in only 13 games this season, including 7 in the Premier League, and is currently sidelined with no set date for his return.

According to journalist Nicolò Schira, the England international is now open to leaving as a free agent next summer, potentially bringing his long spell at Manchester City to an end.
