After remaining silent since the Premier League’s announcement, Pep Guardiola has finally spoken out to express his unwavering support for Manchester City.

Pep Guardiola has broken his silence. The day after the official announcement by the Premier League concerning the serious financial breaches alleged against Manchester City, the former Citizens manager published a particularly powerful message on his social media accounts. The Spanish coach, who left at the end of the 2025-2026 season after ten years at the Etihad Stadium, wanted to publicly show his support for every part of the club.

Guardiola shows his full support for Manchester City

“I want every Manchester City supporter to know that I am here, more than ever. I support, have always supported and will always support my club, my owner, my chairman, Ferran, the players, the staff, Enzo and you, our exceptional supporters. Let me be perfectly clear: we will overcome this challenge together. I love you all.”

He made this statement after Manchester City was found guilty in the financial breaches case. On September 29, the Premier League confirmed that an independent commission had upheld the charges relating to serious breaches of its financial rules over several seasons, as well as the majority of the breaches concerning the club’s cooperation with the investigation. The sanction has not yet been announced.
