Manchester City: Real Madrid wanted Rodri for 40 million euros

According to El Chiringuito, Real Madrid’s opening bid was reportedly under 40 million euros in an attempt to land the 2024 Ballon d’Or winner. This offer fell well short of Manchester City’s expectations for their midfield general and only added to the internal doubts about his age and playing profile.

Barcelona, meanwhile, were far more determined to seal Rodri’s arrival—now just a formality before he’s officially unveiled as a Blaugrana.
