Manchester City: Rodri's future under discussion

As the 2026 World Cup heats up, Manchester City is already planning for life after Rodri.

According to The Athletic, the Sky Blues are determined to extend the contract of Spanish midfielder Rodri, whose current deal expires in a year. Despite a significant offer, no agreement has yet been reached.

This uncertainty has forced the English club to anticipate possible changes. Manchester City is closely monitoring Sandro Tonali (Newcastle) and Elliot Anderson (Nottingham Forest). These two targets could reshape the Sky Blues' midfield, especially after the confirmed departures of Pep Guardiola, John Stones, and Bernardo Silva.

Real Madrid, long seen as a natural destination for Rodri, has yet to make a move for the Spanish star.
