Before the Nations League match against Denmark, Manchester City’s Portuguese defender Rúben Dias appeared before the Portuguese and Danish media.

The Manchester City player was not spared questions about the Cristiano Ronaldo controversy. He first addressed one of the notable scenes from the aftermath of the match against Norway. It concerned Ronaldo’s decision not to go and greet the supporters. “It was a 15-second moment of frustration that has nothing to do with his commitment to the national team. After five minutes, we were all in the dressing room celebrating the victory. I understand your question, but you will see for yourselves at training today. You will feel that joy, you will see us smiling, you will see us happy. This is a new cycle. We are all very happy to embark on this new adventure. We have already experienced two adventures, and we are eager to discover what the future has in store for us,” he declared.

Dias was also asked about his club’s case, with Manchester City having been found guilty by the Premier League of financial breaches. “I understand your question, but please understand that I will not comment on anything unrelated to the national team,” he said at the press conference.
