Portugal: Vitinha defends Jorge Jesus against Cristiano Ronaldo
On Thursday evening after the victory over Denmark, Vitinha praised the work carried out by new national team manager Jorge Jesus since his arrival.
The Paris Saint-Esprit player is pleased with Jorge Jesus's start. “The manager's work is starting to bear fruit; you can already see it. I believe I was clear enough, and fortunately, everything is going well. That's how we want to continue,” he told RTP. Vitinha also scored his first goal for Portugal, heading home a cross from Bruno Fernandes, while completing 90% of his passes during the match.
This development was highlighted by Gonçalo Ramos, who scored and provided an assist against the Danes. “The new coach is a great help and we understand the game better. We know exactly where each teammate is positioned, both in defence and in attack,” the forward explained.
