Manchester City: the United Arab Emirates threaten the Premier League and England

Amid the accusations against Manchester City, the United Arab Emirates clearly intend to fight back.

The United Arab Emirates have already begun to react, just days after the financial accusations against Manchester City. It must be acknowledged that the English club is one of the jewels of the small Middle Eastern country, which intends to use all its resources to exert pressure.

According to information from Bloomberg, “officials from the United Arab Emirates warned the British government that the severity of the sanction imposed on Manchester City could dampen their enthusiasm for future large-scale commitments in Britain. They believe that the measures taken by the Premier League are affecting bilateral relations between the two countries.” The media outlet specified that the United Arab Emirates have invested more than €35 billion in key sectors of the United Kingdom over the past five years.

The two countries would like to continue their collaboration, and a summit on future investments is in fact scheduled to take place this month between the two nations. The Manchester City case will inevitably be discussed at the meeting.
