Manchester United: Paul Scholes opposes André Onana's return

Paul Scholes has responded to the situation involving André Onana and his potential return to Manchester United after his loan at Trabzonspor.

The former Red Devils midfielder says he is surprised by the idea and believes the club should not disrupt the current goalkeeping hierarchy. According to him, Senne Lammens has brought stability and confidence to Manchester United’s defense this season, becoming a key figure in the squad:

Senne Lammens has transformed Manchester United’s defense this season by bringing confidence, stability, and consistency. The team looks much more solid with him between the posts.

Paul Scholes insists that performances should be the top priority, and feels that Lammens deserves to keep the number one spot. He also recalls Onana’s past mistakes and thinks the club cannot afford to go backwards:

I don’t see any reason to bring him back into the picture at all. United can’t afford to take a step back. The club should stick with what’s working and move forward with Lammens.

For him, Manchester United must continue with Lammens and maintain their current momentum, rather than reigniting competition for the goalkeeper position.
