Marcellin Bocovè elected president of the Benin Football Federation
Marcellin Bocovè is now officially the new president of the Benin Football Federation (FBF). The only approved ticket for this elective General Assembly, “Ensemble, visons plus haut” (“Together, let’s aim higher”) received overwhelming support from the delegates on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at the Missérété Center of Excellence.
A landslide win for the Bocovè ticket
The ballot confirmed the broad backing for the list led by Marcellin Bocovè. Of the 80 expected voters, 79 actually cast their ballots. The final count showed 76 in favor, one against, and two abstentions—a resounding endorsement from the delegates for the vision presented by the new leadership team.
Even though only one slate made it through the candidate screening process, the vote was necessary to confirm the delegates’ confidence in this new leadership. With this election, Marcellin Bocovè officially takes the helm of the FBF for the 2026-2030 term.
