Massadio Haïdara leaves Stade Brestois
Massadio Haïdara is no longer a Stade Brestois player. The Malian defender was released from his contract on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, after a season in Brittany that drew little attention.
Signed in the summer of 2024 after six years at RC Lens, Massadio Haïdara's adventure with Stade Brestois has officially come to an end. The French club decided not to extend his contract, which expired this summer, as part of a squad overhaul. During the 2024-2025 campaign, the 32-year-old Malian featured in 31 matches for Brest, including eight appearances in the UEFA Champions League. He did not score or provide any assists, but his defensive contribution was well appreciated.
Now a free agent, Massadio Haïdara is able to negotiate with other clubs in France or abroad. His future remains open, with very few leads mentioned so far.
