Mercato: Fiston Mayele set to join Al Ahli Tripoli

Since leaving Pyramids FC, Fiston Mayele has come very close to signing with Al Ahli Tripoli. The Congolese international appears to have chosen Libya as his next destination.

Mayele has agreed to a two-year contract. The 32-year-old striker will reportedly earn $5 million over the course of the deal, according to the same source.

Despite interest from several clubs, the Congolese striker was linked with a move to Al Ahly in Cairo, and also received offers from Saudi Arabia and even Europe. Ultimately, Mayele opted for a new challenge in the Libyan league and the ambitious project of Al Ahli Tripoli.

Mayele, a prolific goal scorer, is aiming to revive his career after leaving Pyramids, with whom he won every title.
