Ghislain Konan is preparing to extend his adventure in Portugal with Gil Vicente. Since joining last summer, the Ivorian left-back has firmly established himself as a key figure in Vicente's defense, and the club is eager to keep him in their ranks.

Ghislain Konan is expected to sign a new two-year contract with Gil Vicente, according to 225 Foot. The player, who previously played alongside Cristiano Ronaldo at Al-Nassr, joined the Portuguese side at the start of the season on a free transfer and initially signed a one-year deal.

Thanks to his experience with Vitória Guimarães, he has been delivering top performances. The Abidjan native started in 20 of the last 23 Primeira Liga matches.

Konan is 30 years old and is valued at €3 million according to Transfermarkt. Currently sitting fifth in the standings, Gil Vicente could be pulling off a coup by keeping hold of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations champion.
