Mercato: Ruben Alexandre Compaoré is very close to Slavia Prague

A major new leap forward for Ruben Alexandre Compaoré. According to exclusive information obtained by Foot Africa, the 20-year-old Burkinabé defender, who arrived at Dila Gori in February, is currently in Prague to sign with Slavia.

After just six months with Dila Gori in Georgia, Ruben Alexandre Compaoré is preparing to take the next step in his career. The young 20-year-old centre-back is now in Prague, where he is expected to put pen to paper with Slavia Prague.

According to our sources, Compaoré will sign a four-year contract, keeping him with the Czech giants until 2030. Only a few final details remain before the deal is officially announced.

A graduate of JO Basga Academy, the 1.93m left-footed defender made a name for himself in the TalentMax youth league, one of Burkina Faso's biggest talent-spotting tournaments. His profile soon caught the eyes of Israeli clubs before he embarked on a successful stint in Georgia starting February 2026.

A left-footed centre-back who can also play out wide, he has all the attributes of the modern defender sought after by European clubs. In just two years, Ruben Compaoré has gone from Burkina Faso to Israel, then to Georgia, and now to Prague, where, if the deal goes through, he's expected to continue his rise on the biggest European stages.
