Mercato: Why Espérance de Tunis dropped the Seydou Sacko pursuit?
Ivorian midfielder Seydou Sacko will ultimately not be joining Espérance de Tunis during this summer transfer window.

The Blood and Gold supporters quickly put pressure on club management through social media to abandon the signing, arguing that he did not have the required level to deliver the expected impact.
Facing this popular backlash, Espérance de Tunis management reconsidered their plans and ultimately decided to move on from the player.
New targets identified
The club’s recruitment committee activated new targets in the past 24 hours, searching for a rare gem to fill the defensive midfield role.
Significant progress has been made on several files involving African players plying their trade in Europe.
It is highly likely that Espérance de Tunis will reach an agreement with some of these players in the coming hours.

Seydou Lamine Sacko’s stats with his Ivorian club ASEC Mimosas are far from impressive.
According to specialist site Transfermarkt, he has not scored a single goal in 16 appearances in the CAF Confederation Cup and CAF Champions League, registering only one assist in a match against Botswana’s Orapa United FC in the second-tier competition.
Moreover, the player still has no market valuation on the same Transfermarkt site.
