Middlesbrough: Kelechi Iheanacho finally finds the back of the net

Kelechi Iheanacho ended a long wait on Saturday, March 29, 2025, by scoring his first goal for Middlesbrough in a crucial 2-1 victory against Oxford United.

Arriving on loan from Sevilla in January 2025, the Nigerian forward struggled to find the net, enduring seven matches without scoring in the league. His last goal dated back to December 2024, during a Copa del Rey match with his former club. But against Oxford, Kelechi Iheanacho rose to the occasion, equalizing in the 48th minute with a powerful strike from a Samuel Iling-Junior cross.
