Mihlali Mayambela continues his impressive run in European leagues!

Mihlali Mayambela made a compelling case for his inclusion in the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations squad with a decisive contribution for Aris Limassol. The South African winger came off the bench at the start of the second half and proceeded to find the back of the net in the 71st minute, sealing his team's dominant 4-0 victory over Enosis Neon Paralimniou.

His well-taken strike, which made it 3-0, marked his third goal contribution of the season and helped his club reclaim the top spot in the Cyprus League, overtaking defending champions Pafos FC.

The timing of his performance could not be more critical. The 29-year-old, who last featured for Bafana Bafana in March 2024 and made five appearances in the previous AFCON, has been named in the preliminary 55-man squad. All eyes are now on coach Hugo Broos, who is set to finalize his 26-man roster on Monday, with Mayambela hoping his latest display has done enough to secure his ticket.
