Milan: Samuel Chukwueze already back in training ahead of trip to Sassuolo
Samuel Chukwueze returned to training with AC Milan this Tuesday at Milanello, the day after returning from international duty with Nigeria. The Nigerian winger brought forward his return and immediately made himself available to Ruben Amorim.
Chukwueze took part in Tuesday morning's session with the Milan squad. The other international players will rejoin their teammates on Thursday, after the entire squad was given Wednesday off.
Milan will now prepare for their trip to Sassuolo, scheduled for Sunday at 6 p.m. in Serie A. Chukwueze's early return therefore allows Amorim to count on him from this week as he prepares for the match.

Saelemaekers facing a lengthy absence?
Alexis Saelemaekers, on the other hand, is not expected to be available against Sassuolo. The Belgian injured his ankle last week and could require surgery because of a stability problem in his right ankle.
The length of his absence will depend in particular on the decision over whether or not to operate. The player confirmed how difficult this period has been in a message posted on Instagram, while expressing his determination to return to the pitch quickly.
« It is a difficult period, but I will face it with patience, determination and an even greater desire to return to doing what I love », Saelemaekers wrote. He also thanked the supporters, his teammates and everyone who sent him messages of support.
