Mohamed Buya Turay bounces back in Kazakhstan
A new destination awaits Sierra Leonean forward Mohamed Buya Turay.
Following a low-key stint with Kathmandu Rayzrs FC, the Sierra Leone international striker has signed with FC Zhetysu, a club competing in the Kazakh Premier League. Turay, 29, has committed to the club until the end of the year.
A former Malmö FF player, Turay terminated his contract in March 2023. Since then, he has played for Odense BK and Birmingham Legion. In Kathmandu, he managed just one assist in six appearances.
