Momodou Sonko heading to La Liga?

Of Senegalese descent, young Swedish forward Momodou Sonko, 20, has struggled to make his mark at Genk this season.

Having joined in 2024 from BK Häcken on a contract running until 2028, he has started only twice and has mostly been used as a substitute. According to Marca, the Swedish U21 international could find a fresh start in La Liga.

Levante is reportedly interested in securing the player on loan for the second half of the season, offering Sonko a chance to revive his career in a competitive league.
