RCSA prodigy Samir El Mourabet could be set to take part in the 2026 World Cup with Morocco this summer. It's his dream.

"I think he has his place in the senior national team," says Tijani, his father. "He deserves it. It would make us so happy to see him go to the World Cup," the young Moroccan talent told Ici Alsace. He thus shares his family's excitement over his son's meteoric rise.

For Samir El Mourabet, this opportunity represents not only a major step in his professional career, but also recognition of all the hard work he's put in.

On the other hand, the young Moroccan remains deeply attached to his roots. For the past 10 years, he has lived in Neudorf with his parents, but whenever his schedule allows, he returns to Cité de l’Ill. "On Friday nights, he heads over to the gym at the Jean-Baptiste Schwilgué school complex to meet up with his childhood friends for their traditional end-of-week futsal," his entourage shares.
