On the afternoon of June 9, Mozambique’s national team suffered a 0-1 defeat to Indonesia in a friendly held at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium in Jakarta.

With this latest 0-1 loss to Indonesia, the Mambas close out the June FIFA window on a sour note. Following a 1-4 defeat to Oman just a few days earlier, they have now suffered back-to-back losses. Their record: two defeats, five goals conceded, and just one goal scored.

Mozambique must quickly get back on track before the start of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
