Newcastle United offers €24 million for this Nigerian talent

The young AIK player is attracting the interest of several European clubs, including Newcastle and Brighton

Newcastle United is reportedly making a record-breaking bid for Zadok Yohanna, the young AIK sensation. According to Expressen, the English club is offering €24 million plus bonuses to secure his signature.

This transfer could become the most expensive in Allsvenskan history. Yohanna, just 18, has already caught the eye of several European clubs. Brighton & Hove Albion, in particular, have already held talks with AIK and tabled a bid in the region of €22–23 million. The player himself is open to a potential move to the Seagulls.

His name is on everyone’s lips now but he was in Kaduna just a year ago. Zadok Yohanna moved from Ikon Allah Football Academy in July 2025 to AIK in Sweden for €750k. Meanwhile, Newcastle remain highly interested and have also put forward a strong offer. AIK could soon have to choose between these two lucrative proposals. Yohanna has featured in 18 matches this season, netted 5 goals, and provided 4 assists, showcasing his immense potential.
