Como have no intention of letting Nico Paz go cheaply. Brilliant since the start of the season, the Argentine attacking midfielder has attracted the attention of several major European clubs, including Chelsea and Manchester United. According to Tuttomercatoweb, the Italian club could demand as much as €150 million to let their player leave.

Nico Paz is causing a stir in the transfer market

Trained at Real Madrid, Nico Paz joined Como in the summer of 2024 and quickly established himself as one of the key players in the team coached by Cesc Fàbregas. At 22, the Argentine is confirming his potential with impressive statistics.

He has scored four goals and provided five assists in ten appearances in all competitions this season. His performance against Manchester United in the Champions League, with two goals and an assist in Como’s 4-1 victory, further boosted his value on the market.

A €150 million valuation?

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Como could set their player’s asking price at €150 million. However, this is a valuation reported by the media, not an official offer or an imminent transfer.

Chelsea and Manchester United are reportedly monitoring his situation with a view to a potential signing. However, both clubs will have to take one important factor into account: Real Madrid retain an €80 million buy-back clause, which can be activated from the summer of 2027.

Real Madrid retain an advantage

Under contract with Como until June 2028, Nico Paz remains at the centre of a complex situation. The Italian club want to build on his performances to continue their sporting project, while Real Madrid retain the option to bring him back at a predetermined price.

It remains to be seen whether Chelsea or Manchester United will be prepared to consider such a costly operation, and what the player’s position will be. For now, no transfer agreement has been announced.
