Nottingham Forest: Major blow as Ola Aina sidelined for a while
Nottingham Forest will have to manage without their versatile defender, Ola Aina, for an indefinite period due to a calf injury. This is a setback for the Tricky Trees who are fighting for a Champions League spot.
Ola Aina sustained a calf injury during the 1-0 victory over Manchester United on April 1, 2025, in the Premier League. Later, the Nigerian defender tried to reassure fans by sharing a video of himself celebrating the team's victory on social media. However, it appears this injury will keep the 28-year-old off the pitch for some time. Coach Nuno Espírito Santo expressed his concern over this absence:
"It's tough for us because we're going to miss his quality, his versatility, and the chemistry he's developed with the rest of the team. His presence on the field has been crucial."
The Portuguese manager confirmed that Aina will miss the upcoming matches against Aston Villa and Everton, but hopes for a return before the end of the season.
"We have to cope, but we hope to see him back before the final stretch of the league," said Nuno Espírito Santo.
