Official: Antoine Makoumbou signs with Samsunspor

The Congolese midfielder Antoine Makoumbou has signed with Samsunspor to compete in the Turkish Super Lig.

Antoine Makoumbou leaves the Belle Bleue, the nickname for the Mediterranean, to join the southern shore of the Black Sea. The Congo international has put pen to paper on a four-year deal with Samsunspor, a city of 1.4 million inhabitants located in northern Turkey.

With 111 matches under his belt in Italy, including 65 appearances in Serie A, Antoine Makoumbou will be looking to earn his spot in a highly competitive midfield. At last season's Super Lig third-place finishers, the Red Devil will also make his European debut, as Samsunspor have qualified for the Europa League play-off round.
