Official: ASEC Mimosas will Not Compete in the Women’s Champions League

ASEC Mimosas bids farewell to the 2027 CAF Women’s Champions League. The Ivory Coast champions lost 1-3 to Edo Queens of Nigeria on Thursday, August 27, at the Stade du 04 Août. After two losses, the Fleurs Mimosas are eliminated. The Nigerians, on the other hand, advance to the tournament’s semifinals and remain in contention.

Edo Queens, Too Strong, Advance to the Semifinals

The team from Côte d’Ivoire had already lost its opener 0-1 to Ampem Darkoa Ladies of Ghana. A champion easily knocked out in the group stage—it’s a major disappointment.
