Official: Cluver Sambi Mbungu signs professional contract with OL

It was in the pipeline! At just 17 years old, Cluver Sambi Mbungu is now officially an Olympique Lyonnais player.

The Congolese midfielder has signed his first professional contract, tying him to the club until June 2029. Already a hot prospect in this summer transfer window, with strong interest from PSG and RB Leipzig, the former Caen player ultimately chose Lyon's project.

Regarded as one of the brightest hopes in Congolese football, Cluver Sambi Mbungu will begin his journey with Lyon's Pro2 squad, led by Gueïda Fofana.
