Official: Douglas Costa joins Al-Ittifaq

Douglas Costa has found a new club. The Brazilian winger has left Chievo Verona, where he stayed for just six months, to join Al-Ittifaq FC.

Having played for European giants such as Bayern Munich and Juventus, the 35-year-old surprised many by recently signing with a lower-division side in Italy. However, his adventure was short-lived, despite a respectable record of one goal and several assists in 13 matches.

This time around, Douglas Costa has accepted an offer from the United Arab Emirates, signing on for one season. He joins an ambitious project and will reunite with other experienced players in a rapidly developing league, aiming to play a leading role.
