As reported over the past several days, Jeff Bezos has invested in Liverpool.

Liverpool has just officially announced the arrival of an investor group led by Amit Bhatia, which has acquired a minority stake from the club's owner, Fenway Sports Group. The consortium is buying approximately 33% of the Reds in a deal valued at an estimated $7 billion. Amazon boss Jeff Bezos is even involved in the operation through an investment company called K5 Global.

"Fenway Sports Group (FSG), an international organization specializing in sports, media, entertainment and real estate, today announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to sell a minority stake in Liverpool F.C. to 1892 Holdings, a consortium led and managed by Amit Bhatia, with investments from Amit Bhatia and the Mittal family trusts, K5 Sports (a K5 Global fund), whose principal investor is Jeff Bezos, and EE Capital, the family office of Elaine and Eduardo Saverin," Liverpool confirmed in a statement published on its official website.
