OFFICIAL: Kaizer Chiefs announce loan exits
Kaizer Chiefs have announced the loan moves of five players to the Motsepe Foundation Championship, with the second-tier campaign set to commence this upcoming weekend.
Samkelo Zwane headlines the mass temporary departures at Naturena, as he's set to turn out for newly promoted Hope FC, alongside promising goalkeeper Bontle Molefe.
Notably, the 24-year-old dynamic midfielder spent the previous term on a season-long loan at Betway Premiership side Siwelele FC, where he made seven appearances across all competitions.
With his current deal at Chiefs set to lapse in June 2027, he will be eager to impress during his second loan spell, having gained promotion to the Chiefs first-team in January 2023.
“Kaizer Chiefs can confirm that two senior players and three from the Youth Development Academy have secured loan moves to gain valuable experiences at different clubs,” read the club statement.
"Midfielder, Samkelo Zwane and goalkeeper, Bontle Molefe - both members of the senior squad - will spend this season at Cape Town-based Hope FC, where they will compete in the Motsepe Foundation Championship under the auspices of the PSL.
"In addition, three promising talents from the Academy have also been sent out on loan. Ofentse Kgosana and Vicky Mkhawana join Real Natives (formerly Casric Stars) in KwaMhlanga, Mpumalanga, for the season, while Sfiso Timba will remain in Gauteng spend the campaign at Gomora United FC.
With Chiefs undergoing a transitional period under newly appointed head coach Fernando da Cruz at the helm, the loanees will be itching to make the most of their loan stints in a bid to secure a place in the Chiefs senior team.
