OFFICIAL: Miguel Timm lands new PSL club

Newly promoted Motsepe Foundation Championship outfit Hope FC have announced the signing of seasoned midfielder Miguel Timm, blending youth with experience.

The 34-year-old anchor man was unattached after parting ways with fellow second-tier side Cape Town City at the end of the 2025/26 campaign after failing to gain promotion.

City fell short during the PSL promotion/relegation playoffs, where KwaZulu-Natal club Milford FC reigned supreme for a lucrative spot in the Betway Premiership next season.

Now, the former Orlando Pirates midfielder is set for a new chapter with the Premier Soccer League (PSL) rookies, who are looking to stake their claim in the league.

“We're delighted to announce the signing of Miguel Timm. Bringing years of PSL experience, composure and leadership, Miguel adds another important piece to what we're building at Hope FC,” read the club statement.

"Welcome back to the Mother City. We wish you every success in the black & red. Let's get to work.

With three Nedbank Cup titles and as many MTN8 trophies, Timm will undoubtedly bring a winning mentality and experience in the heart of midfield as a commanding leader.

Hope FC, meanwhile, are still in search of a new head coach after parting ways with Dylan Deane, under whom they clinched promotion to the professional ranks.
