Pape Cabral and AS Monaco have officially extended their partnership.

After featuring under Filipe Luis in the first three pre-season friendlies this summer, the young Senegalese midfielder has signed a contract extension with AS Monaco until June 2031, the club announced this Wednesday. Arriving on the Rock in 2022 and lifting the Gambardella Cup in 2023, the Franco-Senegalese prospect could have a real role to play this season.

In the thick of summer preparations under Filipe Luís, Pape Cabral took part in AS Monaco’s first three friendlies against AS Saint-Priest—Monaco’s partner club—Sporting Portugal, and Cercle Brugge, Monaco’s sister club. Born January 20, 2007, the Academy-trained midfielder continues his rapid rise at the highest level, having made his professional debut in the 2025-2026 season.

As a reminder, last September 27, the Senegalese talent made his first appearance for the senior team against FC Lorient. That debut was followed by five more matches in the famous Red & White shirt, including two Champions League outings—against Manchester City at Stade Louis-II (2-2) and in the victorious trip to Norway against Bodø/Glimt (1-0). It’s been a season of immense learning for the Keur Massar native, who broke into the first-team squad at the start of the previous campaign. Simultaneously, Pape also featured in the Youth League, playing a key role in victories over Paphos (3-0) and Galatasaray (5-0).
