OFFICIAL: Sekhukhune United part ways with six players

Betway Premiership outfit Sekhukhune United have announced the departure of six players upon the expiry of their contracts, ahead of the 2026/27 season.

Former Orlando Pirates midfielder Thabang Monare headlines the exits, having joined the club from the Buccaneers in July 2024.

Veteran striker Bradley Grobler is also among the players that won't be retained, despite chipping in with 11 goals and two assists in the previous campaign.

Meanwhile, Rivaldo Coetzee has also parted ways with Babina Noko, bringing his brief spell at the club to an end, having recently signed in April.

Furthermore, the Limpopo side severed ties with Siphosonke Langa, Katlego Mohamme, and Ryan Baartman as part of a mass exodus in preparation of the next term.

Having started the 2025/26 campaign like a house on fire, Sekhukhune fell short of securing a spot in the CAF Confederation Cup for next season.

Babina Noko finished in fifth place with 44 points accumulated on the Betway Premiership table, 10 points behind third-placed Kaizer Chiefs.

Now, former Chiefs co-coach Cedric Kaze is expected to take over the reins with the club eager to return to CAF inter-club competitions.
