Official: Vince Osuji leaves Bruges
Vince Osuji continues his career in Norway. The 20-year-old central defender leaves Club Brugge and officially signs with Tromsø IL.
A mixed experience in Belgium
Osuji joined Kalmar FF in the summer of 2024. In Sweden, the Nigerian quickly showcased his potential with 15 appearances in the Allsvenskan and one goal. His performances convinced Club Brugge to take a chance on him in January 2025.
But his stint in Belgium didn’t live up to expectations. Osuji featured just three times for the first team, though he did rack up 28 matches with the reserves.
Tromsø betting on his potential
Tromsø have confirmed the arrival of the young defender. Sporting director Lars Petter Andressen sees Osuji as a player ready to take the next step. Club Brugge is understood to have negotiated a sell-on clause in the event of a future transfer.
This move could help Vince Osuji get his career back on track. At just 20 years old, he already boasts valuable experience in Sweden and Belgium, but now he needs to secure regular first-team football.
