The young Comorian player Warmed Omari has officially been loaned to Hamburg by Stade Rennais.

Warmed Omari experienced an unsuccessful loan spell at Lyon, where he was rarely used by Pierre Sage and later Paulo Fonseca. Last summer, Rennes once again loaned him out, this time to Hamburg, as he faced stiff competition for a spot. This proved to be a smart move, as Omari managed to break into the Bundesliga club’s rotation, making 6 league appearances.

On Tuesday, HSV exercised their option to buy the defender, as confirmed by Rennes. "A product of the Academy, Warmed Omari has represented the Red and Black 94 times. Loaned to Hamburg, the defender is now permanently transferred to HSV. SRFC, happy to see him back on the pitch after his injury, would like to thank Warmed for his commitment." announced the French club.
