Official: Zakaria Ouazane turns pro at Ajax Amsterdam

Zakaria Ouazane has signed his first professional contract with Ajax Amsterdam. The Dutch-Moroccan forward has committed until June 2027 with the Dutch giants this Monday, August 4. This season, he will play for the Ajax U23 squad before aiming for the first team.

Ajax Amsterdam has just officially announced Zakaria Ouazane’s professional signing after months of uncertainty surrounding his future. Born on September 24, 2006, in Amsterdam, the Morocco U23 striker continues his development at the club where he’s been training since 2016.

“Zakaria is a physically strong striker with a sharp eye for goal. He finds space in the opposition’s penalty area and can pose a real threat. Thanks to his unique qualities, he adds value to our squad, and we hope he’ll show that this season with Ajax U23,” said Marijn Beuker, the club’s sporting director.

His younger brother, Abdellah Ouazane, a 16-year-old attacking midfielder, also signed a professional contract with Ajax on the same day. This double signing further strengthens the family’s bond with the capital club.
