This Friday, Amine Gouiri spoke to RMC. The Algerian international addressed questions about his future.

While Olympique de Marseille continues its summer preparations under Bruno Génésio, the Marseille club is facing serious financial constraints behind the scenes. Grégory Lorenzi is forced to lighten OM's suffocating wage bill, primarily by offloading numerous players. Mason Greenwood and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, last season's top scorers for Marseille, have already signed for Fenerbahçe and Deportivo La Coruña, respectively.

At the club, no player is guaranteed to stay. Having joined OM in January 2025, Amine Gouiri could also be on the move. In an interview with RMC this Friday, the Algerian international was first asked about his future. "I want to say yes. For now, I’m here, under contract. But I’m not the only striker—maybe others will be coming, too. But yes, of course. I’m still under contract, but as you know, you never know what can happen, especially in football and in this situation. But yes, I think it’s normal, I’ve been here for two years, so it would be the logical next step." he said.

He added: "I heard that the door is open for everyone, but whether that's clear or not, you know, in a season, you might end up staying and then leave at the end. And vice versa. For now, I’m here, I’m focused on my preparation, and we’ll see what happens next."

Gouiri is under contract with OM until 2029.
