On Tuesday night, Algerian international Amine Gouiri was booed off at the Orange Vélodrome during the French Cup round of 16 clash between OM and Rennes. He spoke out after securing qualification.

Despite scoring a goal and providing an assist in OM's 3-0 win over Rennes in the Coupe de France round of 16 on Tuesday night, Amine Gouiri left the Vélodrome pitch to a chorus of whistles. But the Algerian striker didn't take it to heart, fully aware of the circumstances and a missed opportunity just minutes before.

"It was because of the missed chance, I already know that. I'm a striker, I should have put it away. If I had scored, they would have been chanting my name. I understand the fans—what matters most today is the win and the qualification." said the Algerian goal scorer.
