OM: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang named player of the month for August

Back in Marseille this summer, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang quickly found his footing again with the Phocaean squad. The Gabonese striker has been voted Marseille's player of the month for August by the club's supporters.

Olympique de Marseille has announced its first player of the month for the 2025-2026 season. Unsurprisingly, it's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The Gabonese forward stood out during the victory over Paris FC (5-2) in Ligue 1, netting a brace and providing an assist.

The club has unveiled a new feature this season: the Olympians' plaque. This project, born in collaboration with Puma, is designed to honor former club legends like Didier Drogba, Franck Ribéry, and Samir Nasri, as well as the nine players who will be named "player of the month" throughout the 2025-2026 season.

During his first spell at OM, the former Dortmund striker made a lasting impression with 30 goals and 11 assists in 51 appearances across all competitions.
