Orlando Pirates boss headlines Betway Premiership monthly award winners

Orlando Pirates head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou is amongst the first winners of the Betway Premiership monthly awards for the 2026/27 campaign.

The Bucs mentor was named Coach of the Month for August after guiding the defending champions to three wins and a solitary draw in the opening four matches of the season.

Notably, Ouaddou picked up from where he left off last season as he was the last recipient of the Coach of the Month accolade in the previous campaign in May.

Mamelodi Sundowns goal poacher Brayan Leon scooped the Betway Premiership Goal of the Month award for his volley on the edge of the box against AmaZulu FC.

The Colombia international fended off strong competition from Teboho Mokoena's free-kick in the same match and Vincent Pule's strike for Siwelele FC against TS Galaxy.

AmaZulu FC in-form striker Thandolwenkosi Ngwenya was rewarded with the Betway Premiership Player of the Month gong after scoring five goals in four matches.

He is currently the leading top scorer in the topflight division, helping Usuthu keep pace in the upper echelons of the log standings as they currently sit fourth.

The 23-year-old Zimbabwe international pipped Orlando Pirates' Lebone Seema and Victor Letsoalo of TS Galaxy to the award.
