Orlando Pirates winger Oswin Appollis has opened up about his bromance with fellow Buccaneers' attacker Relebohile Mofokeng.

The duo has been instrumental for the Sea Robbers this season with a total of 39 goal contributions between them, as the 2025/26 campaign slowly draws to a close.

With the consistent eye-catching performances, the Pirates stars have emerged as strong contenders for the prestigious PSL Footballer of the Season award.

Appollis has since disclosed the relationship with Mofokeng stems from his days at Polokwane City, and was cemented by sharing a room after his move to Mayfair.

“It started before I even came to Pirates, we spoke and then when I came to Pirates we started being roommates, and that's where the relationship grew,” said the explosive forward.

"So, you know in the room you always talk about football - what we can do better, what we lack on, what we can improve on, and the good thing is we always manage to take some of the information that we speak to the team.

"And I think other rooms also when they have their roommates they also speak and then they come share with us like where we can improve in the game. Overall, I think that's the most important thing that we share things amongst each other.

Pirates will return to action with the highly anticipated Soweto derby clash against fierce rivals Kaizer Chiefs at FNB Stadium on Sunday, 26 April.
