Paraguay unveils its squad for the 2026 World Cup

Head coach Gustavo Alfaro has announced Paraguay’s 26-man squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, marking the Albirroja’s tenth appearance in the tournament.

Key figures include Julio Enciso, who delivered a solid season with Strasbourg, as well as Miguel Almirón, once again an essential attacking threat. Antonio Sanabria rounds out this experienced attacking trio. The midfield will be anchored by Diego Gómez of Brighton, while several players plying their trade in both South America and Europe bring further balance to the squad.

Paraguay faces a tough group against the United States, Turkey, and Australia, with the clear goal of advancing past the group stage. Their best-ever finish—a quarter-final run in 2010—remains the benchmark, but the Albirroja are aiming to match or even surpass that achievement in this 2026 edition.
