Paul Pogba officially leaves Monaco
Paul Pogba and Monaco have agreed to part ways. Having arrived on the Rock last summer, the French midfielder now officially leaves the club after a season largely hampered by a lack of playing time.
A season far from expectations
Pogba featured in just 6 Ligue 1 matches this season, with only one start. Despite his return to professional football with Monaco, the former Manchester United and Juventus player was unable to secure a regular spot in the lineup.
The Monaco club announced the early termination of his contract, a decision that brings an end to a chapter meant to revive Pogba’s career after a particularly challenging period. “I want to thank the president, the management, my teammates, all the staff and all the fans who believed in me,” Pogba said.

Monaco’s general manager, Thiago Scuro, also made a point of praising Pogba’s attitude during his time at the club. According to the executive, Pogba played a key role for the younger players thanks to his experience and advice.
Scuro believes Pogba’s conduct was exemplary, even if the sporting experience did not live up to initial expectations. “What he brought to the dressing room, especially for the younger players, was invaluable,” he explained. Paul Pogba must now focus on finding a club where he can get regular minutes and gradually return to his best form.
