Pochettino sets his conditions to join Real Madrid

Mauricio Pochettino has reportedly already laid out his demands before taking over as Real Madrid's head coach, according to Defensa Central. The Argentine wants to see Tottenham center-back Cristian Romero arrive at the club this summer to bolster the back line.

But the tactician isn't stopping there: he also wants Marco Verratti, the 33-year-old Italian midfielder from Al Duhail, as a cost-effective reinforcement. Verratti could line up alongside a key player such as Alexis Mac Allister, Enzo Fernández, Adam Wharton, or Vitinha to bring stability to the midfield.

This season, Verratti has netted one goal and provided three assists in 10 Stars League appearances, and he boasts 55 caps for Italy. With these targeted signings, Pochettino is aiming to shape a squad capable of matching his ambitions and restoring Real Madrid to the pinnacle of European football. The question remains whether the club's hierarchy will bow to his demands.
