Portugal: Luka Modric reacts to the Cristiano Ronaldo affair

On Tuesday evening, Luka Modric spoke out about the Cristiano Ronaldo situation.

Cristiano Ronaldo has been the subject of much discussion in Portugal over the past week. The former Real Madrid player may no longer wear the Portugal shirt after leaving the squad before the match against Norway (2-1).

CR7 made headlines during this international break. His former Real Madrid teammate, Luka Modric, spoke about the matter after Croatia's 2-1 defeat to Spain on Tuesday. "It's sad to see what is happening to him in his country. But I think they will find a solution, because if he retires or does not continue with his national team, he deserves a great farewell. I don't know what is happening, but I hope they will find a solution, because he is the greatest player in the history of Portugal. He deserves a different ending with the national team," the Croatian midfielder said in the mixed zone.
