Premier League: Chelsea announces the return of Nicolas Jackson and other key players
Chelsea regains its key players on the eve of the clash against Tottenham in Premier League. This Wednesday, April 2nd, coach Enzo Maresca confirmed the return of several key players, including Senegalese Nicolas Jackson, who has been absent for nearly two months.
After several weeks away due to a hamstring injury, Nicolas Jackson is finally recovered and ready to hit the field again. The Senegalese striker resumed team training last week and has been declared fit by the medical staff. This news is particularly significant as the Blues are in a fierce battle for a Champions League qualifying spot.
Alongside Jackson (the Blues' second top scorer), Cole Palmer and Noni Madueke are also making their return. Palmer, the team's top scorer this season, had missed recent matches due to a similar injury. Madueke, on the other hand, had been absent since the defeat against Brighton on February 14th. These returns provide coach Enzo Maresca with extra offensive options to face Tottenham this Thursday, April 3rd.
"Cole is back, he is doing well. He is better. Noni is better. Nico is better. They are all fine and they are ready. It's great that they are back," Maresca stated during his pre-match press conference.
