Now a free agent following the end of his contract with Liverpool, Mohamed Salah remains the most prolific goalscorer in the English top flight over the past ten years. The Pharaoh has netted 191 goals, outpacing former Tottenham Hotspur stars Harry Kane (164) and Son Heung-min (123).

But this attacking trio is not alone, as players in other positions have also stood out for their goalscoring prowess. Squawka has unveiled the Premier League's best goalscoring XI by position over the last ten years.

Alongside the front three of Salah, Kane, and Son, the midfield features Bruno Fernandes, Phil Foden, and Kevin De Bruyne. The Portuguese star has scored 71 goals for Manchester United, while the Englishman and the Belgian have 68 and 65 goals respectively for Manchester City.

The most prolific defensive duo is made up of Gabriel (20 goals) and Van Dijk (28 goals). Former Chelsea man Marcos Alonso and ex-Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold are the full-backs with the most goals, tallying 25 and 18 respectively.

Finally, Alisson takes his place in goal, having scored once for Liverpool. That memorable moment came in May 2021, when the Brazilian keeper came up for a last-minute corner and powered home a stunning header to seal a dramatic win for Liverpool over West Bromwich (1-2). The Auriverde shot-stopper is reportedly being targeted by Juventus.
