Premier League: the nominees for player of the season

This Friday, the Premier League officially announced the shortlist for the Player of the Season for the 2025-2026 campaign.

Arsenal is represented by three players: goalkeeper David Raya, defender Gabriel, and midfielder Declan Rice. It’s fair to say that the honorary award is likely to be fiercely contested between these three Gunners.

Manchester City also boasts two nominees: Erling Haaland, the Premier League’s top scorer this season, and his French teammate Rayan Cherki. The sixth and final nominee is Bruno Fernandes, who set a new record for most assists in a single season (21), surpassing the previous marks held by Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne.
